It’s everywhere! TV, print and the internet. Oprah has started off again to change her life and get fit. I know that a smart and driven woman like Oprah will and can do it. I only wish that she would consider changing her perspective.

The way I look at it is simple, let’s say you gained weight over a two year period. Then it will take two years to take it off. Simple, straight forward and it always WORKS! I try to focus on making real change, slowly over time. This is the only way to get and keep the weight off – forever. A life of fitness.
Oprah can do it and so can you. I believe in you – Oprah believes in you. Just start. Oprah sets a great example about starting, communicating and the value of community. What an incredible resource she provides and I wish her well because I know how hard it is to start.
Enough about Oprah, let’s focus on you. Find a buddy and walk out the front door. Maybe go for a quarter mile but do it with some real purpose. Please don’t walk like your on your honeymoon in Paris. You know, leisurely strolling through the city with the love of your life. Walk quickly with purpose. It’s a workout. Just for reference, I average 14’14″ minutes per mile. This was maintained over a year during 318 workouts. So get going!
