(Nike+) x (iPod) x (ZumeWalk.com) = faster, longer and more often.

Apple & Nike

I’ve included my Nike+ avatar on my home page to keep you posted on my walks. I know it says runs but I use the Nike+ site for tracking all of my walks. It works great! And the people at Nike have been very supportive of using the system for walking.

And this leads to one of the most important motivation tools. Tracking and goal setting. At first, I used a simple calendar and marked ‘X’ for days walked and ‘O’ for missed days. This method worked great for the first ten years but lacked the elegance and features of a technological solution like

When I restarted my walking quest a year ago; I discoverd Nike+ and combined with my iPod. It worked incredibly well and who doesn’t love to hear their favorite music while exercising.

 

Check out the Nike+ site, Again it has worked great for tracking all my workouts over the last 1400 miles.

Mommy Walker

I’ve been an avid walker for almost 15 years. I found that the best motivation to keep me “walking” was a calendar and then my NikePlus. Seeing my calendar (which is posted on the wall in my office so I stare at it all day) without a check for two days in a row or seeing that I am behind my goal on NikePlus gives me the inspiration I need to walk out the door!
