This is a mini-review, a true story and NOT a paid advertisement.

Over a year ago, when I started walking again, I had a slight knee injury and was looking for help. And like all “real” men was avoiding the doctor’s office like the plague. I eventually ended up at the doctor’s office but that’s another story. In the end, my knee injury came from a combination of things: a lack flexibility, lack of vigorous exercise and weight gain. These simple answers to my injury came much later and with the help of my personal doctor. But I still had to solve my knee problem so independently and stubbornly - I went off on my own.

I began searching for answers and where do we all begin researching complicated medical ailments and injuries? Why online, of course. The process started as a wide and wild search about walking, walking shoes, knee injuries, inserts, arch support, orthotics and somehow I ended up at the Foot Solutions’ site. Got to love Google. What stood out at their site was they had an innovative foot measurement and mapping system.

The next weekend, I went to my local Foot Solutions stores to investigate the foot mapping and measurement system. As I drove, I skeptically wondered if Foot Solutions could really help me and did I need to bring my TOMTOM auto GPS system? The answer was no, I didn’t need my GPS but the foot mapping and measurement system was very cool! After painlessly measuring my feet they determined the right product, fit me and I was done. Short and sweet.

Over the next six of months, I wore an “off-the-shelf” insert recommended by a Foot Solutions expert (Lynco L405 Sports Orthotics - Neutral Heel w/Met Pad) that fit my walking style, foot and motion. The Lynco inserts helped me tremendously and if you’re in need a sounding board and a starting point, walk over to your local Foot Solutions store.

So many resources right at our finger tips. Foot Solutions didn’t end up as my “only solution” but it was a very good beginning in understanding more about me, my walking style and foot motion.
