Some of the projects being paid for by the stimulus money include a new walking trail at A.B. Sawyer Park; an extension to the Seneca Loop for pedestrians and cyclists in Seneca Park and around Bowman Field; repairing the Louisville Loop near Shawnee Park; construction and repair to city sidewalks; resurfacing about 70 miles of streets in the metro and the installation of bicycle lanes along Taylorsville Road from McMahan to Hurstbourne.
Most of these projects will be put out for bid by Metro Government.
