I’m always looking for new and healthy things to eat for breakfast and this recipe, sounds quick and nutritional. I need lasting energy from breakfast, to get me to lunch without feeling hungry and one that keeps me sharp mentally.
Better Homes and Gardens gives us “Walk the Plank French Toast” sounds like it would fit the bill:
1. Prepare French toast sticks according to package directions. Cut one stick in half; use as a “bridge” for a second stick to form a plank across part of a plate. Pour a syrup “ocean,” and stock it with fruit-snack sharks. Makes 1 serving.
Got ideas on what we could add to this to boost protein and lasting power?

Pre-cooked protein strips (meatless) or Turkey Bacon, a big tablespoon of almond or natural peanut butter, or some scrambled eggs or egg whites with spinach. If you pre-cook a crapload of eggs with spinach, you can re-heat them in no time in the mornings.
Jenn,
Thanks for the protein tips.
