Here's the story:
"Walking" includes two Activity Meter pedometers, black and white, that you sync up to a profile in the game. Carry one of these around as you go about...

I cannot stop laughing! Please stop, I might wet my pants. Please take look at the article by Rene Lynch at the LA Times, "Sweating it out as a Big Loser." Hilarious!
"I started out the same way that the contestants do. A warm-up, followed by cardio followed by circuit trainingwith Bob or Jillian.
Bob ordered me — and that’s the right verb — to begin running at 5 miles per hour — and at a 5% incline. That’s kind of fast, and kind of steep. It wasn’t long before I smelled something burning — my hamstrings.
When neither trainer was looking, I dropped the pace down to 4.7 mph....
It's only natural and it happens to everyone, a lack of noticeable progress sometimes can brings you down. You're working your butt off every week and it's easy to have a "that" day when you're not happy. A glance in the mirror and the flood of disappointment hits you. Why am I working so hard? I'll tell you why.
Even when I'm right on track with my monthly workout schedule, I have those days too when I'm not happy with my "external" progress. That's when I try to focus on the big picture, where was I over a year ago, where am I now and where am I going? The realization hits me right between...
Goodbye cellulite, hello beautiful legs.
Cellulite is hated universally and there is only one true cure. Of course, they'll sell all kinds of creams, lotions and potions that claim to get rid of cellulite. In the article "Wipe Out Cellulite" at Prevention.com, the research shows that the one key to reduce or eliminating cellulite is exercise and that crash dieting can actually make the appearance of cellulite worse:
"Crash dieting can actually make cellulite worse by reducing skin's elasticity, making more of those little puckers noticeable. Gradual weight loss (to better preserve skin's...
"I'm the healthiest I've been all my life," Britney, 26, tells OK!. "My diet has a lot to do with my getting into shape. I have no sugar. I don't eat fruit or even fruit juice because of the sugar. I eat chicken and salmon and rice. I eat avocados. I'll have egg whites for breakfast and sometimes turkey burgers for lunch. I try to do just 1,200 calories a day. It may sound like it's not much, but it's actually a lot of food if you eat the right things."
"Of course, Brit also hits the gym on a regular basis, doing "lots of cardio and weights" five days a week." says Brittany to OK Magazine.
Is walking really a workout?
You may be surprised to learn that brisk walking can be almost as challenging as jogging. Here's why. When you walk at speeds faster than 3.1 mph, your stride length naturally increases (you don't necessarily want it to for efficiency but inevitably it happens). Lengthening your stride is inefficient because it requires additional energy to move your legs forward, which in turn requires more arm and torso movement, which leads to increased torso and hip rotation, which amounts to higher aerobic demands and more calorie-burning. This has been confirmed in the laboratory....
